CopyCat

For voice owners

Your voice stays yours.

Every voice on CopyCat has an owner. The owner decides which channels can use it, and can take it back at any time.

Sharing

You choose who can use it.

Your voice can always be used on your own channels. Beyond that, pick one of three settings and change it whenever you like.

  • Only channels I share it with

You share it with a channel by name. Nobody else can find it.

  • Listed: channels can ask

Channels can find your voice and ask for it. You accept, decline, or decline and block each request.

  • needs the speaker's consent

    Anyone on CopyCat

Any channel can add it without asking. Only possible once the speaker's consent is recorded.

Whatever you choose, a channel's owner also has to switch your voice on before their viewers can use it. Owning a voice gives you control over where it's used, and nothing else on anyone's channel.

Taking it back

It stops at once.

From one channel

Take your voice away from any channel, even if you'd made it available to everyone. It takes effect immediately on that channel:

  • messages waiting to be read in your voice aren't read
  • a clip that's being made is thrown away
  • past messages can't be replayed or remade in your voice

A message that's already playing finishes. You can allow the channel again later if you change your mind.

Everywhere

CopyCat can take any voice down on every channel at once, for example when someone reports that a voice is being used without permission.

If a voice owner's account is deleted, their voices are taken down. They're never handed over to CopyCat or anyone else.

On stream

Viewers are told it's AI.

While a cloned voice speaks, the overlay shows an AI voice label with the voice's name.

The label is on for every new channel. A streamer can turn it off for their own channel.

Submit your voice.

Soon you'll be able to add your own voice: upload a short, clean recording, check how it sounds, record your consent, then choose who can use it. You need to be 18 or older to add a voice.

Until then, if you'd like CopyCat to carry your voice, get in touch at contact@copycat.expert.

Is your voice on CopyCat without your permission?

Tell CopyCat which voice and where you heard it. Reports are read only by CopyCat's admins, and a voice can be stopped everywhere at once.
